About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead administrative coordination for faculty recruitment, including interview scheduling, itinerary development, and candidate communications
- Manage faculty onboarding processes, ensuring all required documentation, workspace, and technology needs are met
- Coordinate fellowship credentialing processes in collaboration with GME partners and institutional stakeholders
- Support faculty promotion and career review processes by organizing required materials and tracking timelines
- Maintain and update faculty CVs to ensure accuracy and compliance with departmental standards
- Support staff recruitment activities, including job postings, interview coordination, and hiring logistics
- Maintain accurate databases, trackers, and confidential records related to faculty affairs and departmental operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of progressively responsible administrative experience
- Experience providing administrative support in an academic, healthcare, or research environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in an academic medical center or university setting
- Experience supporting faculty affairs, promotions, or fellowship administration
- Familiarity with University of Michigan or Michigan Medicine policies and systems
- Strong project management skills and experience developing process documentation
