About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform various fiscal and business activities, including maintaining ledgers and handling billing or payment discrepancies.
- Support Human Resources and University Affairs leadership by managing business office plans and coordinating collection processes.
- Develop and propose updates to existing operational systems, services, and procedures.
- Prepare statistical reports, charts, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, creating agendas, and coordinating itineraries.
- Assist in personnel functions, including screening job applicants and participating in interviews.
- Maintain fiscal and personnel records, monitor budgets, and process invoices for payment.
- Supervise student office support staff and provide training or cross-training for team members.
- Perform public relations duties by responding to inquiries and explaining programs to the public.
Requirements
- Associate degree in business administration, management science, public administration, or a related field with at least 1 year of business operations experience.
- OR a High school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in business operations, office management, or budgeting.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and communicate effectively with the public and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management science, public administration, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in the secretarial or administrative professional field, including office management and budgeting.
