About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine administrative tasks, including formulating decisions and judgments regarding the interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Manage business functions for the administrator's office, such as responding to correspondence, researching data for budget inclusion, and monitoring spending.
- Maintain fiscal and personnel records, process bills and invoices, and reconcile purchases within procurement systems.
- Provide secretarial assistance, including preparing reports, drafting correspondence, and coordinating daily office workflows.
- Act as a lead worker for lower-level personnel and supervise student office support staff.
- Serve as a liaison between administrators and subordinates, and represent the administrator at meetings and conferences.
- Perform clerical duties such as managing calendars, making travel arrangements, and maintaining office supply inventory.
Requirements
- Associate degree in business administration, management science, public administration, or a related field; OR a high school diploma/GED with three years of administrative experience.
- Experience in the secretarial or administrative professional field, including office management, public relations, budgeting, or supervisory principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of budgeting procedures and office management practices.
- Strong skills in organization, attention to detail, and written/verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management science, public administration, or a related field.
- At least two years of professional experience in office management, public relations, or budgeting.
