About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine administrative and clerical tasks to support the academic and business functions of the Rich Center for Autism.
- Manage business functions including preparing and monitoring budgets, processing invoices, and purchasing supplies.
- Assist with the Ohio Autism Scholarship Program (ASP) by contacting families, reconciling scholarship checks, and preparing billing.
- Provide secretarial assistance such as managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and preparing correspondence or reports.
- Serve as a liaison between administrators and subordinates, transmitting decisions and directives.
- Supervise student office support staff, including training and evaluating their work activities.
- Handle public relations duties by responding to inquiries and explaining programs to the public.
- Perform daily facility tasks such as opening the center, managing mail, and maintaining office inventory.
Requirements
- Associate degree in business administration, management science, public administration, or a related field; OR a high school diploma/GED with at least two years of experience in a secretarial or administrative professional field.
- Proven experience in office management, public relations, or budgeting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and interact professionally with the public.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management science, public administration, or a related field.
- At least one year of professional experience in office management, public relations, or budgeting.
