About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, project, and executive support to the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs.
  • Serve as the primary administrative liaison for various offices, individuals, and institutions.
  • Lead the Academic Affairs administrative team and assist in recruiting, hiring, and training personnel.
  • Manage the supervisor’s calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Prepare sensitive and confidential research, reports, and non-routine correspondence.
  • Coordinate programs, events, and conferences, including facility arrangements, catering, and budget control.
  • Assist with strategic planning projects, fiscal responsibility initiatives, and the maintenance of vendor contracts.
  • Develop and implement new administrative systems to improve office efficiency.
  • Act as the custodian of corporate documents and records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in personal computers and related software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information and use independent judgment.
  • Knowledge of standard budgeting and expenditure control procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, supportive image of the University and its mission.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a higher education administrative setting.
  • Experience in supervisory roles, including interviewing and performance management.

  • Competitive annual compensation ranging from $85,000.00 to $95,000.00.
