About the role

Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate the onboarding program for all new staff on the Faro Mine Remediation Project (FMRP)
  • Manage inventory and fulfillment for the employee recognition program using Smartsheets
  • Perform weekly collection and review of staff timesheets for accuracy
  • Plan and coordinate special events, meetings, and logistics
  • Create professional presentations and draft communication materials, documents, and proposals
  • Facilitate document reviews, including synthesizing feedback and performing formatting changes
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support decision-making processes
  • Serve as a point of contact for the public and provide general office support in the Whitehorse office

Requirements

  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in administration, business administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar administrative or office support role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint, and Smartsheets
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of communications and marketing best practices
  • Experience working within and adjusting complex systems or processes
  • Understanding of the local region and experience with community event planning
