About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide complex administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements for University Unions leadership.
- Oversee Pierpont Commons main office operations and serve as the Manager on Duty to respond to building and facility inquiries.
- Provide functional management and supervision to up to 20 Student Building Managers.
- Support facility operations by inspecting buildings, equipment, and furniture to determine maintenance and repair needs.
- Assist with financial management tasks, including Mcard station operations, budget reconciliation, and inventory management of office supplies.
- Coordinate onsite, offsite, or virtual meetings and events, including room reservations, catering, and technical requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional administrative experience in a workplace setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of facility operations experience.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and handle simultaneous assignments and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-based organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with facility operations or complex project coordination.
- Proficiency with Google Suite, teleconferencing software, and audio/visual equipment (e.g., Crestron).
- Knowledge of University of Michigan policies and procedures.
- Strong commitment to the college union philosophy in higher education.
