Administrative Nurse I

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care, unit activities, and personnel on an assigned shift using the Nursing Process and Relationship-Based Care model.
• Develop, implement, and update patient plans of care based on ongoing assessments and family input.
• Assume the role of Charge Nurse as assigned, acting as a resource for unit personnel regarding policy, standards, and procedures.
• Coordinate daily assignments, staff scheduling, and workflow to facilitate timely patient admission and discharge.
• Advocate for patients, families, and the nursing profession while integrating evidence-based research into practice.
• Identify recurring clinical practice problems and participate in unit-based quality and research initiatives.
• Manage clinical supplies and equipment, ensuring necessary resources are available for the unit.

Requirements

• Illinois Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Proven Charge Nurse experience.
• Current AHA BLS/CPR certification.
• Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Must establish Illinois residency within 180 days of hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate therapeutic relationships.
