About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for all nursing and designated patient care functions.
- Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practice across multiple units.
- Ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care and clinical staff competency.
- Manage resources related to patient care and support hospital operational efficiency.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional nursing discipline.
- Oversee nursing quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and Joint Commission readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- 2+ years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment at a manager or director level.
- Experience managing multi-unit nursing practice and staffing operations.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and hospital operational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Master's degree in a healthcare-related field.
