About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced administrative support for the School of Marine and Environmental Programs (SMEP) daily operations.
- Handle complex and confidential situations, requests, and sensitive matters with discretion.
- Assist in departmental budget planning, monitor expenditures, and process budget documents.
- Coordinate and schedule travel, meetings, and appointments for managers or supervisors.
- Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and distribute relevant documentation.
- Manage office supplies, coordinate equipment maintenance, and maintain petty cash records.
- Respond to administrative inquiries, answer phone calls, and welcome visitors and students.
- Maintain organized filing systems and retrieve information from records and email as requested.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
