About the role

Responsibilities

  • Managing departmental operating budgets under direction of the Senior Director
  • Coordinating and completing financial billing and payment activities
  • Acting as the resource person to the department on all office administrative matters
  • Ensuring efficient office operation including calendar management, meeting support, and file management
  • Handling HR processes and supporting the Fellowship program
  • Maintaining the departmental SharePoint site
  • Preparing the quarterly newsletter, reports, schedules, and spreadsheets
  • Preparing statistics and conducting audits of departmental activities

Requirements

  • Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent
  • Medical or business post-secondary office administration diploma
  • Five years of related office administration support experience
  • Proficiency in computer/word-processing, database, and spreadsheet software
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Microsoft Office environment
  • Knowledge of the organization
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
