About the role
Responsibilities
- Managing departmental operating budgets under direction of the Senior Director
- Coordinating and completing financial billing and payment activities
- Acting as the resource person to the department on all office administrative matters
- Ensuring efficient office operation including calendar management, meeting support, and file management
- Handling HR processes and supporting the Fellowship program
- Maintaining the departmental SharePoint site
- Preparing the quarterly newsletter, reports, schedules, and spreadsheets
- Preparing statistics and conducting audits of departmental activities
Requirements
- Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent
- Medical or business post-secondary office administration diploma
- Five years of related office administration support experience
- Proficiency in computer/word-processing, database, and spreadsheet software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Microsoft Office environment
- Knowledge of the organization
- Experience working in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
