About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide daily coordination and follow-through concerning the employment of faculty, staff, and students within the School of Arts and Sciences.
- Process academic appointments and coordinate various human resources and personnel matters.
- Research and respond to individual inquiries and large-scale communications.
- Manage personnel-related databases and data files to support operational and strategic needs.
- Analyze payroll/financial reports and staff/faculty forecasts, conducting regular audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Support the SAS Office of Human Resources by coordinating programs, projects, and unit operations.
- Prepare and distribute documents, including cost-related analysis, to support labor relations and negotiations.
- Manage purchases, inventory, and ensure compliance with university purchasing procedures.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate logistics for workshops and meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of human resources related experience.
- Intermediate Excel skills and strong MS Office proficiency.
- Strong data analysis skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior human resources or administrative experience within an institution of higher education.
- Familiarity with Rutgers University systems, policies, and procedures.
