About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Dean and Associate Deans within the College of Arts & Sciences.
  • Manage leadership calendars, appointments, and scheduling priorities for the Dean's Office.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, faculty meetings, and college-wide events, including preparing agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
  • Coordinate administrative logistics for faculty and staff searches, including candidate travel and interview support.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new faculty, adjuncts, and staff.
  • Support college operations by coordinating facilities requests, room scheduling, and equipment needs.
  • Assist with budget tracking, reconciliations, purchasing, and processing reimbursements.
  • Hire, train, and supervise Dean’s Office student assistants.

Requirements

  • Two years of college-level coursework.
  • Three years of administrative support experience.
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and scheduling systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an administrative assistant or coordinator in higher education, a non-profit, or a corporate environment.
