About the role
Responsibilities
- Create and produce promotional materials, posters, and digital assets using tools like Adobe InDesign and Canva
- Draft, format, and review content for the PIMS newsletter via Mailchimp
- Manage social media channels and update website content to support institute programs
- Coordinate logistics for in-person and online events, including catering, signage, and vendor liaison
- Process reimbursements and invoices through university systems with high accuracy
- Track expenditures against budgets and provide general financial administration support
Requirements
- High School graduation plus at least one year of post-secondary education
- Four years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment
- Experience with digital tools such as Adobe InDesign, Canva, and Mailchimp
- Proficiency in web content management and social media best practices
- Understanding of financial administration processes
- Familiarity with UBC financial and administrative systems, such as Workday
