About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to Cooperative Extension Programs (TUCEP) leadership.
- Serve as the office receptionist, offering professional customer service to visitors, staff, and stakeholders.
- Prepare, type, and process reports, correspondence, and official administrative documents.
- Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy filing systems and records.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including reservations, lodging, and itineraries for personnel.
- Manage office operations such as supply ordering, inventory tracking, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist with processing county travel reports, reimbursements, and vouchers.
- Support event logistics by serving on registration teams for conferences, workshops, and seminars.
- (Level III only) Oversee daily office workflows and provide mentorship to junior administrative staff.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required (Level I); Associate's Degree preferred.
- Associate's Degree required (Level II); Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree required (Level III); Master's Degree preferred.
- Experience levels vary by tier: 0–2 years (Level I), 2–5 years (Level II), or 5+ years (Level III).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a university or higher education administrative setting.
- Experience supporting Cooperative Extension or similar program structures.
- Advanced proficiency in managing complex scheduling and travel documentation.
