About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Department Head, faculty, and the Graduate Public Health Program.
- Manage departmental communications, including corresponding with students, faculty, university offices, and community partners.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for meetings, seminars, trainings, and departmental events.
- Maintain organized physical and electronic files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of departmental records.
- Assist with student services, including recruitment, admissions, orientation, and tracking academic progress.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and assist in the preparation of reports related to enrollment and budgets.
- Manage office supplies and perform general office tasks to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, public health, or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a related administrative support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working within an academic or higher education environment.
