About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll tasks including reviewing Charge RN View, tracking FMLA usage, and submitting monthly NPT usage reports
  • Oversee HR and onboarding processes such as posting positions, completing new hire checklists, and verifying certifications
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling by managing PTO, approving schedule exchanges, and publishing ANSOS schedules
  • Perform accounting and purchasing duties including processing Concur expense reports and reconciling travel funds
  • Maintain unit documentation, personnel files, and evaluation logs to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Conduct administrative audits and prepare weekly FTE analysis reports

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • More than 4 years of administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or higher degree in business, human resources, or a related field
  • Experience with OneStaff, MPathways, and eRecruit
  • Knowledge of UMPNC, MNA, and AFSCME union contracts
  • Familiarity with UMHS policies and procedures
