About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits to various buildings to verify as-built conditions and reconcile field information with record files
- Perform on-site verification regarding use, occupancy, spatial configuration, and spatial metrics
- Work with Project Managers on renovation projects to determine solutions for accommodating residents and commercial tenants
- Prepare project profiles, concepts, and updated drawings using digital tools
- Aggregate project data and information for the DOB and other NYC regulatory agencies
- Assist the Director and Associate Director with project status presentation packages for senior leadership and governance meetings
- Update documentation and coordinate with stakeholders to reconcile information in databases
- Assist with project close-out punch lists and the review of consultant and vendor lists
- Follow up with external partners regarding invoices, payments, and other required materials
Requirements
- Must be a GSAPP graduate student in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Design, Urban Planning, or Preservation
- Strong research, analysis, and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work concurrently on multiple projects
- Ability to interact professionally through both verbal and written communication
- Proactive self-starter with great customer service acumen
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Planning, Design, and Construction industry
- Previous professional experience in a design or construction environment
