About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex administrative support and technical program assistance
  • Disseminate information, maintain filing systems, and manage records
  • Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, forms, and documents
  • Maintain scheduling and event calendars
  • Assist in compiling statistical data and preparing charts, graphs, and written summaries
  • Prepare invoices, memos, letters, and financial statements using various software
  • Interpret and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Review applications for agency services to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate and direct office services, including departmental finances and budget preparation
  • Supervise, train, and orient clerical staff and establish work procedures

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a junior college
  • Two (2) years of experience in administrative support work
  • Valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license
  • Ability to be insured by the County's insurance carrier
