About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the Cancer Rehabilitation and Survivorship ELLICSR Program in an outpatient clinical setting
- Greet patients and manage registration using the EPIC EMR system
- Process incoming referrals and manage the scheduling/rescheduling of patient appointments and group classes
- Perform data entry for patient tracking and maintain electronic calendars and spreadsheets
- Respond to general patient inquiries and handle appointment cancellations
- Ensure the efficient operation of clinic spaces, front desks, and office workflows
- Provide cross-coverage support to the broader operational administrative team
Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School or recognized equivalent
- Completion of a recognized post-secondary medical administration certificate or equivalent
- Two years of related administrative support experience
- Required experience working with EPIC EMR for referrals, scheduling, and clinical operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database/spreadsheet software
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a teaching hospital environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
