About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Cancer Rehabilitation and Survivorship ELLICSR Program in an outpatient clinical setting
  • Greet patients and manage registration using the EPIC EMR system
  • Process incoming referrals and manage the scheduling/rescheduling of patient appointments and group classes
  • Perform data entry for patient tracking and maintain electronic calendars and spreadsheets
  • Respond to general patient inquiries and handle appointment cancellations
  • Ensure the efficient operation of clinic spaces, front desks, and office workflows
  • Provide cross-coverage support to the broader operational administrative team

Requirements

  • Completion of Secondary School or recognized equivalent
  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary medical administration certificate or equivalent
  • Two years of related administrative support experience
  • Required experience working with EPIC EMR for referrals, scheduling, and clinical operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database/spreadsheet software
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a teaching hospital environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
