About the role

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments and greet/register patients upon arrival
  • Screen patient inquiries and direct them to the appropriate resources
  • Prepare and prep medical charts for scanning
  • Utilize advanced data management tools to maintain and transfer important data fields
  • Maintain and organize paper information filing and retrieval systems
  • Perform general clerical duties and manage patient listing/off-listing to CorHealth

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of medical clerical or data entry experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and database programs)
  • Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized data entry program
  • Post-secondary Medical Secretary or Medical Business Office Program (Diploma or Certification level)
