About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Chair of the Computer Science Department and associated faculty
  • Greet students, visitors, and staff professionally and manage incoming phone calls
  • Manage department email accounts and respond to inquiries appropriately
  • Schedule appointments and meetings using Microsoft Outlook
  • Monitor office supply inventory, order supplies, and process incoming/outgoing mail
  • Prepare purchasing card, mileage, and travel reports for the Program Director/Chair
  • Coordinate travel arrangements including flights and hotel accommodations
  • Process information into the Colleague administrative database, including course and faculty data
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools to develop office documents, reports, and correspondence

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of office experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a related field
  • Typing speed of at least 40 wpm
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience providing customer service in a diverse educational environment
  • Knowledge of college departmental functions and program curriculum
