About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals in the Estate Planning and Taxation practice group
- Draft, edit, and modify legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, and forms
- Assist with client tax returns, including copying, scanning, binding, and preparing mailings for the IRS
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and make travel arrangements
- Handle new business intake (NBI) by preparing conflict check and screening forms
- Perform time entry and expense tracking, including monthly pre-bill processing and invoicing support
- Maintain electronic files using the firm's document management system (NetDocs)
- Attend client signing meetings and provide notarization services as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma plus at least two years of post-high school education and related work experience
- Prior experience working in Estate Planning, Taxation, Probate, or a related legal practice area
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF manipulation software
- Typing speed of at least 55 wpm
- Experience with document management systems and operating office equipment (scanners, copiers, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or higher
- 3-5 years of previous legal support experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
