About the role
Responsibilities
- Facilitate student learning through undergraduate instruction of Microeconomics (Fall 2026) and Macroeconomics (Spring 2027)
- Engage in course development, curriculum design, and implementation
- Utilize effective teaching methods and strategies to foster academic excellence
- Support the mission, vision, and values of Bethel College
- Promote collegiality and collaborative relationships with faculty and staff
- Fulfill duties as an Official with Authority (OWA) and Mandated Reporter regarding Title IX and non-discrimination policies
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance, including at least 18 graduate credit hours in economics
- Successful experience in undergraduate classroom teaching (in-person)
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and general educational technology
- Strong organizational, management, and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned doctoral degree in Economics
- Experience in course development that reflects current economic trends
- A record of research or community engagement in the field of economics
