Adjunct Professor of Economics

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning through undergraduate instruction of Microeconomics (Fall 2026) and Macroeconomics (Spring 2027)
• Engage in course development, curriculum design, and implementation
• Utilize effective teaching methods and strategies to foster academic excellence
• Support the mission, vision, and values of Bethel College
• Promote collegiality and collaborative relationships with faculty and staff
• Fulfill duties as an Official with Authority (OWA) and Mandated Reporter regarding Title IX and non-discrimination policies

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance, including at least 18 graduate credit hours in economics
• Successful experience in undergraduate classroom teaching (in-person)
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and general educational technology
• Strong organizational, management, and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree in Economics
• Experience in course development that reflects current economic trends
• A record of research or community engagement in the field of economics
