About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate chemistry courses, including Organic Chemistry I and II, General Chemistry, and Physical Science.
- Develop and deliver instruction through various formats, including face-to-face, hybrid, synchronous, and asynchronous online methods.
- Mentor and support undergraduate students through regular office hours, student organization support, and campus event attendance.
- Pursue scholarly growth through scientific research, professional presentations, journal editing, and grant acquisition.
- Contribute to departmental and university service through shared governance and community engagement.
Requirements
- PhD in Organic Chemistry.
- Proven record of quality instruction for undergraduate students.
- Experience in undergraduate student advising.
- Experience in grantsmanship.
- Ability to establish and maintain a research program suitable for undergraduate students.
