Adjunct Music Faculty

Responsibilities

• Provide private instruction in various musical disciplines including voice, woodwinds, brass, strings, guitar, piano, and percussion
• Teach credit-bearing music courses in the classroom or online environments
• Manage classroom settings and ensure all academic deadlines are met
• Potential opportunities to instruct class piano, small ensembles, or Music Appreciation courses

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Music (a Baccalaureate degree may be considered sufficient for private instruction with significant experience)
• Ability to teach in both face-to-face and online formats
• Ability to meet physical demands including sitting or standing for long periods and manual dexterity

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional performance experience as both an individual and collaborative performer
• Previous experience in a studio or classroom setting
