Responsibilities
- Provide private instruction in various musical disciplines including voice, woodwinds, brass, strings, guitar, piano, and percussion
- Teach credit-bearing music courses in the classroom or online environments
- Manage classroom settings and ensure all academic deadlines are met
- Potential opportunities to instruct class piano, small ensembles, or Music Appreciation courses
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Music (a Baccalaureate degree may be considered sufficient for private instruction with significant experience)
- Ability to teach in both face-to-face and online formats
- Ability to meet physical demands including sitting or standing for long periods and manual dexterity
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional performance experience as both an individual and collaborative performer
- Previous experience in a studio or classroom setting
