Adjunct Library Research & Scholarship Support - Digital Scholarship Lab

Responsibilities

• Instruct students, faculty, and staff in digital scholarship techniques using DSL software and equipment
• Plan and execute workshops and outreach programs regarding DSL tools and methods
• Develop student employees into peer trainers and research consultants
• Create publicly available learning resources for asynchronous campus use
• Collaborate with Library Leadership on daily lab operations, including equipment management, scheduling, and safety compliance
• Assist in the development and implementation of lab usage policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with digital scholarship tools and methods
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Python, R, or Arduino
• Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
• Familiarity with Digital Humanities platforms and methodologies (e.g., digital mapping, text-mining, or data visualization)
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Previous experience working with students in a higher education setting
• Experience with 3D printers, microcomputing, or laser cutters
• Experience in lab safety and maintaining mechanical or electrical instruments
• Familiarity with CAD software such as Blender or Autodesk Fusion
• Experience with project management practices
