About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide graduate-level lectures and curriculum to Physician Assistant (PA) students in the area of pharmacology 1-2 times per week.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the pharmacology course series to ensure compliance with ARC-PA accreditation standards and the NCCPA blueprint.
- Create and implement assessments to evaluate student competency and performance.
- Provide student remediation in pharmacology as needed to meet program expectations.
- Maintain a reliable schedule of office hours (approximately 2 hours per week) for student consultation.
- Assist the Program Director in the continuous review, planning, and development of the PA program regarding pharmacology.
Requirements
- PharmD or Doctorate of Pharmacology.
- At least three (3) years of clinical experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain current ACT 153 clearances (PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI clearances).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience in physician assistant education.
