About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead class lectures, instructional activities, and classroom discussions
- Attend all class sessions
- Monitor and address student concerns and inquiries
- Evaluate and grade student work and assessments
- Conduct office hours
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in a quantitative disciplinary area
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity roles (SOC, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, etc.)
- Python proficiency for data parsing, ETL, and log analysis
- Proficiency with shell scripting (PowerShell and/or Bash)
- Strong communication and feedback skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of related professional experience
- 2+ years of graduate-level university teaching experience
- Experience with cloud security (IAM, CloudTrail, Defender for Cloud)
- Familiarity with SOAR concepts and alert triage
- Knowledge of security/privacy frameworks (NIST CSF, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Experience with Canvas or other LMS platforms
