Adjunct Instructor, Welding

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned welding courses in accordance with established course competencies and syllabi
• Develop and utilize various instructional strategies and delivery methods to meet diverse student learning styles
• Foster a safe, civil, and professional learning environment for all students
• Inform students regarding course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies
• Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and attainment of competencies

Requirements

• Must meet one of the following educational/experience criteria:
• Bachelor's or graduate degree in welding or a related occupational area
• Bachelor's degree in any area with at least 18 completed credit hours in welding
• Associate's degree in welding with at least 3,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience
• Welding diploma or special training with at least 6,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience
• Ability to pass a hands-on welding test administered by an approved instructor
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professional relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in teaching or instruction within the welding content area
