Adjunct Instructor, Web Development

Responsibilities

• Lead in-person class sessions for approximately 25-75 college students at Howard University
• Deliver engaging, industry-relevant instruction using CodePath’s provided web development curriculum
• Support students in achieving learning objectives and mastering full-stack development concepts
• Manage teaching assistants to ensure students receive appropriate academic support
• Collaborate with the Program Manager and university faculty to ensure curriculum alignment
• Use student feedback and course KPIs to propose and implement curriculum improvements

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field
• 4+ years of full-time professional experience in software engineering or development
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Proficiency in full-stack technologies including React, Node, Express, and PostgreSQL
• Availability to lead lectures on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:10am–10:30am ET during the Fall 2026 term
• Ability to meet with teaching assistants once per week outside of scheduled class times

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of instructional experience with a demonstrated track record of educational excellence
• Experience teaching in online or hybrid learning environments
