Adjunct Instructor, Theology & Religious Studies

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned theology courses or lead theology discussion groups as mentors on a semester-by-semester basis.
• Provide a supportive learning environment and facilitate effective student learning.
• Adhere to course curricula, methods, practices, and lesson plans developed by the Department of Theology.
• Conduct regular student assessments and provide timely graded feedback on homework, quizzes, and exams.
• Maintain regular availability to meet with students by holding regular office hours outside of scheduled class time.
• Utilize online learning systems and network resources to assign homework and communicate with students.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in theology, religious studies, or a related field.
• Master's degree in theology, religious studies, or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching or instructional experience.
• Ability to use technology and software required for teaching, including Microsoft Office and learning management systems like Canvas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching undergraduate theology or religious studies courses.
