About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned theology courses or lead theology discussion groups as mentors on a semester-by-semester basis.
- Provide a supportive learning environment and facilitate effective student learning.
- Adhere to course curricula, methods, practices, and lesson plans developed by the Department of Theology.
- Conduct regular student assessments and provide timely graded feedback on homework, quizzes, and exams.
- Maintain regular availability to meet with students by holding regular office hours outside of scheduled class time.
- Utilize online learning systems and network resources to assign homework and communicate with students.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in theology, religious studies, or a related field.
- Master's degree in theology, religious studies, or a related field.
- Demonstrated teaching or instructional experience.
- Ability to use technology and software required for teaching, including Microsoft Office and learning management systems like Canvas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching undergraduate theology or religious studies courses.
