About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver instruction for primarily undergraduate courses within the Honors (Wesleyan Scholars) Program.
  • Prepare lessons and adhere to the faculty handbook and established class schedules.
  • Hold required office hours, maintain attendance, and submit syllabi, grades, and evaluations in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with research activities in your respective discipline through journals and conferences.
  • Participate in curriculum assessment and other duties as assigned by the Honors Director.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline being taught.
  • Ability to work effectively with University personnel and comply with student record regulations.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting information to students and faculty.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience at the college or university level.
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence.
