Adjunct Instructor, Teacher Education

Responsibilities

• Prepare, plan, and teach assigned courses related to Washington State teacher certification
• Create and evaluate student assignments and submit grades according to established deadlines
• Utilize Canvas to organize course content, communicate with students, and manage assignments
• Collaborate with the department chair and program director on curriculum development and key assessments
• Mentor and support preservice teachers in developing professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in education or a related disciplinary field
• 5–7 years of K-12 teaching experience
• Specialized expertise in K-12 educational practice

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience at the university level
• K-12 teacher certification (Elementary, Secondary, or Washington Endorsement areas)
• Experience in a supervisory or administrative role within a K-12 educational system
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality educational experiences to a diverse student population
