About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned Spanish courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi
- Deliver instruction through in-person and/or synchronous virtual formats
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and delivery methods to meet diverse learning styles
- Foster a safe, civil, and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Inform students of course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and competency attainment
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Spanish, or a Master’s degree with at least 12 graduate semester credits in Spanish
- Demonstrated effectiveness working with diverse populations, including varied cultures and backgrounds
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting
