About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned sociology courses asynchronously via the Canvas learning management system
- Develop and utilize various instructional strategies and delivery methods to meet diverse student learning styles
- Foster a safe, civil, and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Inform students regarding course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and competency attainment
Requirements
- Master of Sociology or a Master's degree with at least 12 graduate semester credits in Sociology
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting
