About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned sociology courses asynchronously via the Canvas learning management system
  • Develop and utilize various instructional strategies and delivery methods to meet diverse student learning styles
  • Foster a safe, civil, and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Inform students regarding course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document student attendance, progress, and competency attainment

Requirements

  • Master of Sociology or a Master's degree with at least 12 graduate semester credits in Sociology
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience in a higher education setting
