About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing students in clinical environments to facilitate effective learning and the integration of theory and practice
- Evaluate student clinical performance, reasoning skills, and progression toward program outcomes
- Grade all clinical assignments and conduct scheduled mid-term and final evaluations
- Provide guidance to students regarding professionalism, research, and evidence-based practice
- Maintain effective communication with lead faculty regarding student progress and concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare facility staff to ensure an optimum learning environment
- Attend required orientations, training sessions, and faculty meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Two or more years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
- Current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience
