Adjunct Instructor, Psychology and/or Lifespan Development for Nursing

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach well-organized, in-person classes for Fundamentals of Psychology and/or Lifespan Development for Nursing.
• Create and distribute course syllabi via the University’s Learning Management Software (Brightspace).
• Manage student academic progress by posting assignment grades in Brightspace.
• Hold two hours of office hours per week (can be a mix of in-person and online).
• Maintain timely correspondence with students, faculty, and staff via University email.
• Submit roster reconciliations, mid-term grades, and final grades by established deadlines.
• Uphold all faculty duties as outlined in the Faculty Handbook.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in Psychology.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Subject matter expertise in Psychology or Lifespan Development.
• Familiarity with Brightspace or a similar Learning Management System (LMS).
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to teach in-person in Purchase, NY (preferred meeting days are Tuesdays and Thursdays).
