Adjunct Instructor Pool - Teacher Candidate Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise the field component of clinical teaching and internships for teacher candidates
• Act as a liaison between the Texas Wesleyan University School of Education and the K-12 school community
• Conduct informal and formal evaluations of instructional and classroom management activities
• Ensure all state certification documentation and required paperwork are completed accurately
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and conflict resolution support to clinical teachers and interns
• Serve as a role model and communicator for the Director of Field Experience

Requirements

• Master’s Degree
• Current teaching certification
• Minimum of three (3) years of classroom experience at the level and content being supervised
• Experience evaluating classroom teachers using the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) or an approved alternative
• University-level mentor training
