About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver instruction for primarily undergraduate courses within the School of Arts and Sciences.
- Prepare lesson plans and adhere to the faculty handbook and university guidelines.
- Maintain required office hours and manage student attendance.
- Submit syllabi, grades, evaluations, and other required academic paperwork in a timely manner.
- Stay current with research in your respective discipline through professional reading and conferences.
- Participate in curriculum assessment and other departmental or university-wide activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in the relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the specific discipline being taught.
- Ability to work effectively with university personnel and comply with student record regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level.
- Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence.
