Adjunct Instructor Pool - Kinesiology

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instruction for undergraduate courses within the Department of Kinesiology.
• Cover diverse subject areas including exercise science, physical education teacher preparation, recreation administration, first aid, and fitness activities.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans and adhere to the faculty handbook and departmental guidelines.
• Meet all scheduled class times and maintain required attendance records.
• Submit grades, attendance, and other required academic paperwork in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours of coursework in Kinesiology.
• Specialized instructor certifications may be required for specific activity courses (e.g., yoga, martial arts, scuba, or WSI).
• Ability to comply with FERPA regulations and maintain the confidentiality of student records.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Professional experience in specific subject matter areas such as exercise physiology, biomechanics, pedagogy, or sport management.
