About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach 1-2 sculpture classes per semester for students at all levels
  • Provide instruction in 3D Design courses or other departmental needs as assigned
  • Mentor and manage students within a studio and classroom environment
  • Oversee student activities and safety within the wood studio

Requirements

  • MFA or a minimum of 18 hours of graduate study in Studio Art Sculpture
  • Demonstrated ability to teach sculpture and 3D Design
  • Ability to manage students in a wood studio setting
  • Physical ability to lift 25 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, climb stairs, and walk between campus buildings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record of professional and creative accomplishment in the field
  • One year of teaching experience in sculpture or related courses
