Adjunct Instructor of Physical Science

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned lower division chemistry, physics, and/or mathematics courses, including lecture and laboratory sections.
• Articulate and model current best practices in teaching and provide timely feedback to students.
• Support student understanding outside of class through in-person or virtual engagement.
• Submit mid-semester and end-of-course grades and electronic gradebooks in a timely manner.
• Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students while promoting the mission and values of the university.
• Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education and uphold university employment standards.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in physical science or education/teaching.
• Ability to adhere to the university's Employment and Lifestyle Standards.
• Commitment to inclusiveness and sensitivity regarding national origin, ethnicity, culture, gender, and disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous college teaching experience in a relevant curriculum.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Proven ability to educate and mentor traditional students.
