About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned lower division chemistry, physics, and/or mathematics courses, including lecture and laboratory sections.
- Articulate and model current best practices in teaching and provide timely feedback to students.
- Support student understanding outside of class through in-person or virtual engagement.
- Submit mid-semester and end-of-course grades and electronic gradebooks in a timely manner.
- Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students while promoting the mission and values of the university.
- Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education and uphold university employment standards.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in physical science or education/teaching.
- Ability to adhere to the university's Employment and Lifestyle Standards.
- Commitment to inclusiveness and sensitivity regarding national origin, ethnicity, culture, gender, and disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous college teaching experience in a relevant curriculum.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Proven ability to educate and mentor traditional students.
