Adjunct Instructor of Physical Science

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned lower division chemistry, physics, and/or mathematics courses, including lecture and laboratory sections.
• Articulate and model current best practices in teaching and pedagogy.
• Support student understanding outside of class through in-person or virtual engagement.
• Provide timely feedback and submit grades/electronic gradebooks according to university deadlines.
• Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students to support the university community.
• Promote the mission, values, and core themes of Warner Pacific University.
• Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education and uphold the university's Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in physical science or education/teaching.
• Ability to adhere to university policies and professional standards.
• Commitment to inclusiveness and sensitivity regarding national origin, ethnicity, culture, gender, and disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous college teaching experience in a relevant curriculum.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Proven ability to educate and mentor traditional students.
