About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned lower division chemistry, physics, and/or mathematics courses, including lecture and laboratory sections.
- Articulate and model current best practices in teaching and pedagogy.
- Support student understanding outside of class through in-person or virtual engagement.
- Provide timely feedback and submit grades/electronic gradebooks according to university deadlines.
- Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students to support the university community.
- Promote the mission, values, and core themes of Warner Pacific University.
- Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education and uphold the university's Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in physical science or education/teaching.
- Ability to adhere to university policies and professional standards.
- Commitment to inclusiveness and sensitivity regarding national origin, ethnicity, culture, gender, and disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous college teaching experience in a relevant curriculum.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Proven ability to educate and mentor traditional students.
