About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses related to exercise science, health, fitness, or kinesiology, such as Personal Health & Fitness, Exercise Prescription, or Strength and Conditioning.
- Articulate and model current best practices in teaching and provide timely feedback to students.
- Support student understanding outside of class through in-person or virtual interactions.
- Manage administrative tasks including timely submission of mid-semester and end-of-course grades.
- Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students to support the University Strategic Plan.
- Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education and uphold the University mission.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health, or a related field (or a graduate degree in education/teaching with a B.S. and relevant work experience).
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Commitment to the mission and lifestyle standards of a Christ-centered institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Previous college-level teaching experience in a relevant curriculum.
- Experience teaching both traditional and adult learners.
