Adjunct Instructor of Kinesiology, Sports Medicine and Sports Management

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses related to exercise science, health, fitness, or kinesiology, such as Personal Health & Fitness, Exercise Prescription, or Strength and Conditioning.
• Articulate and model current best practices in teaching and pedagogy.
• Support student learning through in-person or virtual engagement outside of scheduled class time.
• Provide timely feedback to students and manage grading and electronic gradebooks according to university timelines.
• Work collegially with faculty, staff, and students to support the university community.
• Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education and uphold the university's mission and lifestyle standards.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health, or a related field; or a graduate degree in education/teaching with a B.S. and relevant work experience.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to adhere to the University's Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Previous college-level teaching experience within a relevant curriculum.
• Experience teaching both traditional and adult learners.
