About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach one section of German 3500, The Modern German Short Story, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (3:30-4:45 PM)
- Manage full course responsibility, including course preparation based on a provided draft
- Perform regular course assessment, including grading exams and papers
- Attend to students' needs and maintain a minimum of one office hour per course each week
- Collaborate with other German faculty members within the department
Requirements
- Master's degree in German or a related field, or substantial progress toward a terminal degree
- Ability to manage course preparation and grading responsibilities
- Commitment to student support and regular office hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven teaching or professional work experience in German studies
- Completion of a terminal degree in German or a related field
