About the role

Responsibilities

  • Hold courses as scheduled in person on the Naperville campus
  • Teach Introduction to Public Speaking and other courses within the communication curriculum
  • Assess student work and provide constructive, timely feedback on content knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Mentor first-year undergraduate students to assist with their transition to college life
  • Maintain and update course sites using the Canvas learning management system
  • Hold regular weekly office hours to support student success
  • Attend professional development workshops related to teaching and the first-year curriculum
