Adjunct Instructor, Neurobiology

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned upper-division neurobiology courses using evidence-based instruction practices
• Provide a supportive learning environment and facilitate effective student learning
• Adhere to course curricula, methods, and lesson plans developed by the Department of Biology
• Conduct regular student assessments and provide timely graded feedback on homework, quizzes, and exams
• Maintain regular availability to meet with students through scheduled office hours
• Utilize online learning systems and network resources for communication and grading tasks

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Masters, Ph.D., or D.P.T.) or professional experience in a relevant field
• Instructional or teaching experience
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching practices and student-centered learning
• Familiarity with evidence-based pedagogical techniques
• Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Banner)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching undergraduate neurobiology courses

Benefits

• This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position
• Compensation is provided on a per-semester basis ($1,400 per credit hour or equivalent)
